The 12th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) was held on Saturday at the Symphony Space Center in New York. It was indeed a night of entertainment and reward for the big achievers in the Nigerian entertainment industry including music, film, TV, Radio and so many other categories. High-flying  Davido  took home two awards for Hottest Single of the Year (“IF“) and Afropop Male Act of the Year. His protege,  Mayorkun  also took home an award for Best New Act. Street king  Olamide  took home the award for Album of The Year (“The Glory“). In the Film/TV category,  Ramsey Nouah  took home the Best Actor for his role in “’76” while Funke Akindele took home the award for Best Actress for her role in “A Trip to Jamaica” Present at the event were top industry acts like  Davido ,  Olamide , Seyi Shay, DJ Self, Young Paris, Barbee,  Gbenro Ajibade , Dremo, Korto Davies,  Sheyman ,  ID Cabasa , DJ Enimo...

Titled ‘ Lagos Nawa .’, the seventh studio album of YBNL Rapper,  Olamide  hit the market On the 17th of November, 2017. The 17 track album has since enjoyed a fair amount of reception, especially in the ‘streets’ comprised of the rapper’s core fans. The album recently debuted at the number 6 spot in the world category of the billboard chart. The news was received with excitement by  Olamide  and he eagerly shared it on his Instagram page.

Kiss Daniel , Having set himself free from the policy of his former Record label, Kiss gave a hint on his Instastory, that he is working on a song with  Wizkid . Recall,  Kiss Daniel  recently launched his own label,  FLYBOY  INC., after exiting G-Worldwide. The move to start a label of his own has started to bear fruits as  Kiss Daniel  is set to collaborate with  Wizkid . The Yeba crooner gave a hint on his Instastory, that he is working on a song with Wiz. He shared a short video with a snippet of their collaborative effort playing in the background and the video was tagged  FlyBoy  X  StarBoy . See picture below.

Davido shared a video on snapchat in Angola with his friends as they vibes to wizkid’s song titled ‘Baba Nla’ and it’s not just an ordinary vibe. Recall Daniel, and his label had a fall out, which saw the former terminating his  7-year-old contract  with the label after  4 years . G-worldwide via a statement is suing their former artiste to court for breach of contract.. they’re accusing him of “taking steps to appoint a new manager, solicit for bookings, and has continued to negotiate and enter performance agreements in respect of the songs from the album New Era, and Evolution which is set to be released soon containing singles such as Yeba, For You, Senorita, Sofa and others, produced under the contract, including using the stage name ‘Kiss Daniel’ without the company’s prior consent and permission.” Daniel has now officially responded to the lawsuit via his lawyers, L & A Legal Consultants. A 24-year-old Nigerian guy identified as Dan Ladi is in the news again as he celebrates his birthday today. The young man based in South Africa became an online sensation after gifting his mother a brand new Venza Car back in July 2017. Dan Ladi revealed how he sold his mother’s car years back out of desperation to travel abroad in search for greener pastures and bought her a new one to compensate her. Now, the guy says he has done quite well for himself considering his “achievements” at the young age of 24. Popular self-acclaimed Instagram prophet and comedian, Wole Arole, in a chat with Saturday Beats, talked about his signature beards and what it will take to shave it off. The beard gang member said; “For me to shave my beard, it would cost a lot. Since I am going back into the world of make-believe, I would be featured in several roles and one might include shaving off my beard. But the producer would have to pay me heavily to do that. If they pay me millions of pounds, then I would shave it off. I have been keeping this beard for over three years. I cannot even shave this beard for any woman I love. I cannot shave my beard for my wife. Even my mother plays with my beard. The beard is now a part of me that most of my fans recognise me through the beard.”

Best International artiste, Mobo Awards 2017, Wizkid, has called South African Airways out on social media following his items missing after he flew with them. According to Wizzy, as he is fondly called, he his lost bag was returned but every item in it was lost.

Earlier today we reported that superstar singer Kiss Daniel who left his former record label, G-Worldwide Entertainment to launch his own record label ‘Flyboy Inc’, was dragged to court by his former record label. However Kiss Daniel’s camp said they ‘have not received letter or court papers from anyone’, following G-Worldwide’s public notice and obtaining a court injunction dated November 30, 2017. Kiss Daniel who has also reacted to the report on Instagram wrote; “Oluwatobiloba Daniel Dhikrullah Anidugbe this is gonna be a sweet victory for you young man #Nodo#warning #sense”

Nigerian pop star, Anidugbe Oluwatobiloba Daniel, popularly known as Kiss Daniel, has been dragged to court by the management of G-Worldwide Entertainment, for allegedly breaching the seven years artiste management deal he signed with the record label in 2013. According to information made available to Vanguard by the management of G-Worldwide Entertainment Limited, Kiss Daniel signed a yet to expire 7-year recording and artiste management contract with the label in 2013, but has since breached the deal with a series of actions contrary to the provisions of the contract. Counsel to the label, Mr. Aso Kalu Etea, noted that by appointing a new manager, soliciting for bookings, negotiating and entering performance agreements in respect to songs from his album ‘New Era’, and his yet to be released album titled ‘Evolution’, containing singles such as Yeba, For You, Senorita, Sofa and others, bothproduced under the contract, including using the stage name ‘Kiss Daniel’ without seekin...
